Getting your school started
Playground Pulse turns simple playground incident logging into clear patterns, practical actions and better-informed breaktime decisions.
Accept your invitation
Open the secure invitation link sent by Playground Pulse and create your leadership account. This links you to your school’s private workspace.
Complete school setup
Confirm your school display name and set up the playground zones staff already use — for example Oval, Courts, Junior Playground or Quiet Area.
Share the quick-log link
In Settings, copy your school’s unique staff quick-log link or QR code. Staff can use it to log an incident quickly without needing a dashboard account.
Start logging consistently
Encourage staff to record the location, break, behaviour, severity, year level and response. Playground Pulse is designed for structured operational data rather than student-identifying narrative notes.
Review your fortnightly picture
The dashboard brings the current reporting period together: what matters this fortnight, headline metrics, hotspots and emerging behaviour patterns.
Turn insight into action
Open Initiatives when a pattern needs a response. Playground Pulse recommends practical interventions and fills the implementation resources using your school’s current data.
Check whether it worked
Start an intervention to establish a baseline, monitor the next reporting period and compare the result. Previous fortnights remain available in History.
A good first fortnight
Keep it simple. Make sure staff know the zones, share the QR code, encourage consistent logging, then use the first fortnight as your baseline. The value comes from spotting patterns over time — not from trying to make the first dataset perfect.
Privacy by design
Playground Pulse is configured around structured, anonymous operational data. Student names and narrative identifying notes are not collected in the logger.
